This is the first time I have tryed using this camera and I have put new batteries in. I opened the door to load a film and it says to check the bit inside moves by pressing the trigger, but it doesnt move. It wont do anything, no matter what setting, or how hard I push the trigger in.

    Is my camera broken?

I have Movexoom 6 (I think I said once in this forum that I had the model number 10, but that was wrong information... sorry), but anyway...

does it do anything when you pull the trigger?

First check the connections between the battery compartment and the camera. (and also check that the batteries are put in the right way)

the camera also has a "on-off" button! It's just a little bit confusing because it's the same button that adjust the auto-manual lightmeter. You choose the auto or manual and the camera switches on...

hope I could help more, but the fact is that it might also be broken (it's seems like quite heavy and strong thou...?)
